Laos U17 were defeated 3–0 by Malaysia in today’s semi-final match, ending their dream of reaching the final.
The match turned dramatically just two minutes after kickoff when a Laos player was shown a red card, leaving the team to play the rest of the game with 10 men.
Malaysia quickly took advantage of their numerical superiority, scoring two goals in the first half to establish a strong 2–0 lead before halftime. Laos struggled to stay organized defensively but managed to prevent further damage until the break.
In the second half, Malaysia continued to control possession and added a third goal to secure a comfortable victory.
With this result, Malaysia advance to the final, while Laos will compete for third place in the tournament.
