Malaysia launches shopping season Mega Fam
(KPL) Minister of Tourism Malaysia Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen on Saturday, Nov 10, launched an annual shopping season Mega Fam to celebrate the end of year of dragon 2012.
The event will last through 1 January 2013.
The opening ceremony for the event took place at Kuala Lumpur�s Sunway Pyramid, and saw the attendance of over 150 international guests and media representatives.
A five-member media delegation from Laos has been also invited to join the event.
"The Globe Shopper Index that ranked Kuala Lumpur the 2 nd shopping city in Asia reported that our strength is the ability to combine low prices with a good range of products in a large number of stores, including three of the world�s ten biggest shopping malls.
An earlier report by Forbes stated that 1 Utama, Mid Valley Megamall and Sunway Pyramid are amongst the ten largest malls in the word," said HC Chan, President of the Council of Asian Shopping Centres.
