The road‘s length is totally over 45000 KM ,throughout Laos

After the public road law was enforced since in 1999

 The fundamental of transportation extends continually
and the  public road has improved to apply in two seasons
Presently, the total road’s length is over 45 000 km throughout the country
which it becomes an essential fundamental in boosting and promoting the national economic to grow strongly.

   For aim at improving  in a quality of the road system’s  construction and meet the demands of Social –Economic development in a new period ,which includes the overall preparation for entering the ASEAN Economic and community in 2015
the public road’s legislative drafting meeting was held by Ministry of Public work and transportation on August 6^th at the Laos-Japan cooperation centre (KM5),Vientiane.

The purpose of meeting to exchange the opinions from relevant departments for the legislative drafting to be more complete.
The meeting was participated by Mr Lathanamany Khounivong, the deputy –Minister for Ministry public work and transportation and the Ministries, Organizations,  Provincial departments representatives throughout nation.

As for current public road law was enforced and carried out officially since in 1999 which consists of  8 chapters,46 articles and this new law shall extend 13 chapters ,15 groups and 114 articles .
