WHO helps Laos to fight the Dengue Fever

The giving and receiving Aid ceremony to fight against dengue fever was held on 2 Junly 2013

 in the Ministry of Health which was given by Dr Liu Yunguo, the representative WHO in Laos and received by Prof, Dr Aeksavang Vongvichit , Minister for Ministry of Health, together with relevant departments

“The regional office of WHO sees the importance against the outbreak of dengue fever in Laos therefore, the WHO supports US$ 370.000  or nearly 3 billion kip; furthermore , the Aid project of AUSAID also grant to Laos US$ 300.000 to fight against the outbreak of dengue fever and as well as supporting the technique and specialist from the regional office.” says, Dr liu Yunguo

“There are 16.437 cases infected dengue fever and killed 58 people ,it has been spreading in 10 provinces including the capital Vientiane; the WHO understand perfectly  that, the ministry of health might face a difficulty of budget  to fight against the outbreak so that the country needs an organizational and practical strategies supports, in particularly plans and activities that were planned .,” Added  Dr Liu Yunguo
