It will spend US$6.2 million into the population Survey in 2015

VIENTIANE- National statistic , Ministry of planning and investing supported by UNFPA held a meeting to raise funds to conduct the population survey in 2015 which the ceremony has reported the progress and call to receive support from supporters which estimates about 6.2 m US dollar.
National statistic is an organization was ordered to responsible for management and carry out the population survey, National committee Team and technical team in provinces, districts and villages are going to have a trial survey which will be starting from 1 June 2014 . as for the official survey will be starting at the same period in 2015.Mean while, the initial report of survey will go public in the mid of 2015. furthermore, the last survey reports will go to public in the beginning of 2016 which estimates that the total budget to be used in the project is 6.2 million US dollar.
Vice minister for Ministry of planning and investing and the head of National statistic, Dr Samaichanh Boupha
 requests that the departments concerned should take the survey in priority of development, in addition, He requests the supporters should evaluate the progress of the developmental goal in Laos which is the most important sources of information for planning, determining the problems ,Population policies planning ,Population studies;Business; Marketing, Industrial sections and Labor.
Meanwhile, Dr Esther Muia, the representative UNFPA in Laos as well as request that the partners for development ,the Organizations,Fund supporters and technicians should work effectively into the survey to ensure the quality and the success in the survey in 2015
the mentioned meeting was held on 5 July in the Lao Plaza Hotel which was hosted by Dr Chansamai Boupha,Vice minister for Ministry Planning and investing ,Head of National statistic and attended by the UNFPA representation and supporters.
