Savannakhet promotes tourism during Lao New Year
(KPL) Tourism Service of Savannakhet province organized a tourism festival on the Mekong river beach, Phounsavanh village, Kaysone Phomvihane district, from April 12-16.
The festival was aimed to promote and introduce tourism sites in the province to both domestic and foreign visitors, according to Mrs Bounmy Khanthivong, Head of Tourism Service of Savannakhet province. Activities held during the festival are art performance, sports competition, sand castle making competition and boxing. There was also a trade fair of handicrafts produced by local people and those from neighboring countries.
