Prince Akishino, the second son of Emperor Akihito, and his daughter, Princess Mako, left Narita airport Tuesday for a private trip to Laos.
They flew via Bangkok. After arriving in Vientiane on Tuesday night, the prince and his daughter on Wednesday were scheduled to attend an exhibition of farm equipment and pay a courtesy call on President Choummaly Sayasone.
Starting Thursday, they will visit a poultry farm in the north of the country."
