Four drug traffickers arrested in Luang Namtha

(KPL) L uang Namtha Provincial authorities have arrested four drug traffickers with 30 bunches of amphetamine seized. Two suspects have been identified as Mr. Thongkhao, 33, and Mr. Khamkeo, 28. Both are residents of Nakham village, Sing district, Luang Namtha province. Meanwhile other two suspects are Myanmar nationals-Mr. Peng, 49, and Mr. In, 30. The four traffickers were arrested on May 30 while they were transporting illegal drug in Mone area, Sing district.

Anti drug authorities of Luang Namtha province said they were tipped off there would be smuggling of illegal drugs in Sing district and they set an inspection point to screen out the possible smuggling before the four suspects were arrested. Further investigation is being carried out to find whether more people are related to such drug-related crime.
