Health Science University �s training centre opens
(KPL) The University of Health Science opened its cleft palate and harelip operation training centre which has been constructed with financial assistance from the Japanese Cleft Palate Foundation.
Present at last Thursday�s opening ceremony were President of the University of Health Science, Mr. Som-ok Kingsackda, and President of the Japanese Cleft Palate Foundation, Mr. Natsume Nagato, Honorary Counselor of Laos to Nagoya in Japan, Mr. Tadataka Koide, and technical officials of both
sides.
The University of Health Science signed an agreement with the Japanese Cleft Palate Foundation on 31 August 2009 on the construction of the centre. The construction, costing over 480 million kip (US$ 58,000), started one month later.
The centre is also to promote the cooperative relationship between Laos and Japan.
