PM urges Public Works and Transport paying attention to political ideology

(KPL) Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh has urged the Public Works and Transport executive committee to pay more attention to its politically ideological education of its personals.

�The Public Works and Transport plays an important role in developing infrastructure system and the national socoi-economic development,� said Mr. Bouasone at the annual meeting of the Public Works and Transport Ministry on 15-18 March in Vientiane.

Also attending the meeting was Minister of Public Works and Transport, Mr. Sommad Pholsena.

Prime Minister urged the participants of the meeting to pay attention to developing Public Works and Transport in line with the 8th Party Congress� resolution and the 6th five-year socio-economic development plan of the government, attach an importance to the transformation of the country into a transit-nation to facilitate the transportation in the region.

He urged the ministry to improve the quality of the transportation to promote trade, investment, and increase capacity of the domestic transportation companies, further develop roads to facilitate the communication of people mostly in rural areas and village clusters.
