Lao disabled people to receive 200 new wheelchairs

(KPL) The Eden Social Welfare Federation in Taiwan has donated 200 wheelchairs amounting to US$17,600 to disabled people in Laos.

The handover ceremony was held on 16 March at the Lao Disabled People�s Association, Vientiane.

The aid was presented by the Ambassador of Taiwan, Mr Liang Ying Ping, a representative of the Economic and Cultural Office based in Hanoi, Vietnam, to the President of Lao Disabled People�s Association, Mr. Bounvieng Luangnhod.

The wheelchairs will be allocated to Lao disabled people in 11 provinces including Vientiane, Luang Prabang, Oudomsay, Xiengkhouang, Houaphanh, Sayaboury, Vientiane Capital, Saravane, Savannakhet, Champassack and Sekong.

This is a first time of the Eden Social Welfare Federation of Taiwan donated the wheelchairs to Lao Disabled People�s Association and the donation is useful for disabled people and help them.
